Paper Boy Wonder

I drew a new illustration yesterday half for kicks and half for it possibly going on my promo card. Aside from that I haven't thought of a place to use it yet. I would totally love to print it on a sporty raglan 3/4 sleeve tee (white with red sleeves), I would rock that for sure! I have LOTS of stuff I'm working on to post about, all in due time. Just a quick post for now. Meanwhile I'm trying to get everything finished because I GRADUATE in two weeks. So excited for no more homework!!

Dream Big Bag

Another applied illustration!! I made this sweet drawing mostly just for fun but also to add some more work to my portfolio. It was so awesome I couldn't just leave it as a drawing so I decided to print it on fabric and make it a sort of gym bag/diaper bag/etc. Anyone of any age could rock this bag! I made two side pockets with yellow accents as well as an inside pocket. The top is a zipper closure with double zipper pulls. The bag has an adjustable webbing shoulder strap as well as carrying handles. The outside is 100% cotton as well as the yellow lining. To make it sturdier and more substantial the bag has a quilted padding making the bag quite thick. The dimensions are 9.5"w x 15"h x 6"d Check it out!

Pink and Yellow Awesomeness

I've been wanting to delve more into my inspiration and my design point of view/aesthetic preferences on my blog so that readers like you can see what gets my creative juices flowing and will also hopefully find inspiration. I created a treasury on Etsy to dip my toes into showing you the eyes I look through and what gets me excited. If you are unfamiliar, a treasury is a member curated list of 16 items that usually share some common thread and any member can make one! It's called Pink and Yellow Awesomeness. Check it out and make one yourself! Post the link in the comments. I wanna see what you come up with. And of course, more to come in the future!

Collab Slab Mini Backpack

Superfun collaboration between myself and my very good friend Victoria for her birthday! She designed the print and I made her a bag! We designed custom collab tags to go along with it. She wanted a kids size mini backpack. She picked blue as her lining color and everything else was up to me! Pressure's on. I made a few extra little surprises for her backpack that I knew she'd be super stoked about.

P.S.- That little heart on the top left of the bag Victoria made at my embroidery party (see earlier posts) and I made it into a pin for her. She probably forgot about it she's gonna be so surprised!!!

Two Blues Dino Hoodie

Yet ANOTHER Custom Dino hoodie. This one was quite specific with the color choices which made it more personalized and quite fun to make! It was a birthday gift for a lucky 20 something lady in San Francisco. The vote is in and she told me she loves it! (I hear she wears it everywhere). Thanks so much, enjoy!!

Etsy/BurdaStyle DIY Fashion Show

So this past weekend I was in Austin for the Texas Style Council Conference. Not only did I go for the conference but I went because I was chosen to be one of the 15 designers in the Etsy/BurdaStyle DIY Fashion Show that was the wrap-up for the conference! Very exciting. I got to show Austin (and everyone there for sxsw) my killer 3 piece suit and awesome hard case suitcase/briefcase that I designed the fabric for via stage and runway. It was an amazing experience!

Not only that but I met so many awesome people at the conference. People that were there as speakers as well as other attendees. A lot of them were fashion bloggers; amazing confident girls with great style and intelligent to boot!!! I was super busy the whole weekend participating in activities, going to parties, getting to know new friends, and maybe even doing a little shopping :-)
