Paper House

Paper cut art is a technique I keep coming back to. It's very detail oriented and can be difficult when cutting out tiny shapes and not to mention the glue & sticky fingers! But it's always very rewarding in the end and totally fun to conquer. I made this little paper cut house as a thank you to a very cool Cali mom I met recently.

Science Patches

In the past months I've been working with Harlem Biospace, a new biotech incubator in NYC that offers affordable shared lab space and a community for biotech start ups. I designed patches for their HypotheKids K-5 summer camp program launching in July which aims to highlight different science and engineering disciplines through hands-on experiments. You can read more about the program here. One patch will be given to the campers for each of the 8 weeks of the program, each pertaining to a different science theme. I also made a patch for their Hk Maker Lab, a six week summer science program for teens in NYC. I think they all came out pretty awesome, take a look!

Mini Custom Bag Projects

I should spend more time making fun little items because they're a whole lot easier to make than full backpacks/clothing and still make a great blog post (I hope!) The airplane safety fabric is an older one of my prints but it goes along perfectly with the new dopp pouch style (travel themed) coming out in 3 patterns for Mokuyobi Threads in the fall so I made it as a gift for a very cool lady I know.

The other mini project I did was make matching meat print fanny packs with dark red webbing for a custom order, how fun! The only thing better than one meat fanny pack is two! Success!

Etsy x AIGA Event

I was recently asked to do the decor for an AIGA event hosted by Etsy at The Wooly. I had patches as giveaways and made tablecloths in a variety of my prints for the coffee tables. I also provided a background for the event's photo booth hosted by The Bosco. I took some photos of the inside of the venue but it was super dark in there but you sort of get the idea.
