Two Blues Dino Hoodie

Yet ANOTHER Custom Dino hoodie. This one was quite specific with the color choices which made it more personalized and quite fun to make! It was a birthday gift for a lucky 20 something lady in San Francisco. The vote is in and she told me she loves it! (I hear she wears it everywhere). Thanks so much, enjoy!!

Etsy/BurdaStyle DIY Fashion Show

So this past weekend I was in Austin for the Texas Style Council Conference. Not only did I go for the conference but I went because I was chosen to be one of the 15 designers in the Etsy/BurdaStyle DIY Fashion Show that was the wrap-up for the conference! Very exciting. I got to show Austin (and everyone there for sxsw) my killer 3 piece suit and awesome hard case suitcase/briefcase that I designed the fabric for via stage and runway. It was an amazing experience!

Not only that but I met so many awesome people at the conference. People that were there as speakers as well as other attendees. A lot of them were fashion bloggers; amazing confident girls with great style and intelligent to boot!!! I was super busy the whole weekend participating in activities, going to parties, getting to know new friends, and maybe even doing a little shopping :-)

Aside from wearing my suit I wanted to carry some kind of bag to take the outfit to the next level. I deciding on making a hard case suitcase/ briefcase because look at me, I'm going to work so I must mean business. This item is one of a kind limited edition and for sale on etsy. Snatch it up while it's still available!!

Black Tie Wedding Dress

Recently my cousin got married and the wedding was a black tie event. Seeing as I don't really dress up super fancy that often I didn't have a lot of wardrobe choices for the big day. So as usual, I decided to make a dress. It had to be a fancy fabric so instead of using the usual cotton or cotton spandex I ventured into the world of shiny silk taffeta. I already had a loose sketch of this future dress I wanted to make. I headed to the garment district to find silk taffeta in two pretty shades of blue and white. I used the white as the inside triangle, the darker blue as the outside triangle, and the light blue turquoise for the whole of the dress. I knew it was going to involve a lot of hand stitching (12 triangles!!!) to make it a more "couture" garment. It ended up being very time consuming but turned out great!!
